Sarasota County, Florida Inmate Search
An inmate search is a service provided by a correctional agency to
locate individuals currently incarcerated in the jail. The
Sheriff’s Office
operates the Sarasota County Correctional Facility and offers a public-facing
way to check who’s currently in custody through its Arrest & Inmate Search
portal. The search parameters are arrest date, name, or case number. The
search will reveal the inmate’s personal information, arrest and confinement
records, and criminal charges. An individual may also conduct inmate searches
at local police departments, such as the
North Port Police Department
and the
Sarasota Police Department. However, the search must be conducted in person, by mail, phone, or email,
as they do not have an online inmate roster.
Sarasota County is not home to any state or federal prison. However, individuals may find Sarasota County offenders housed in state prisons using the Florida Department of Corrections’ (FDC) Offender Search tools. Those housed in federal prisons may be searched using the Federal Bureau of Prisons’ (BOP) Inmate Locator.
